Our full day play-based Kindergarten class meets 5 days a week. 8:30 am – 2:30 pm.
We offer a comprehensive kindergarten curriculum -reading, language arts, handwriting, math, science, art, music, gym -in a play-based environment that encourages hands on investigation and social interaction. Our Program features Handwriting Without Tears, and incorporate pieces of Orten Gillinghan for language arts, Sound to Spelling for phonics and Everyday Math.
Kindergarten at FUMNS follows the natural curiosities of the children to form the basis for inquiry and study throughout the year.
Our classroom boasts natural light with a child-centered organization, giving students ownership of their space and of their learning.
Maximum of 14 students means more individual time with teachers and individualized and small group instruction.
Kindergarten Enrollment begins in October.
Children must turn 5 by December 31 of the year they begin Kindergarten to enroll.
