Lunar New Year was celebrated by at FUMNS. The 4s and Kindergarten class enjoyed a visit from our resident dragon. The children listened to cultural music and had the opportunity to play instruments and dance in the dragon. The Kindergarten class learned how to write their names using Chinese symbols!
The groundhog predicted an early Spring this year! In celebration of Groundhog Day the children learned about making shadows and enjoyed some shadow dancing.
The holiday season is special at FUMNS and the classes celebrate in many different ways. We learned all about Gingerbread, some children focused on doing kind deeds like elves, we celebrated Hanukkah and our Kindergarten spread cheer by singing at an assisted living facility.

THE SCHOOL ENJOYED HALLOWEEN CELEBRATIONS
On Oct. 26th the Kindergarten class boarded the purple Ferguson Library bus and visited the main branch of the library. Thank you to Librarian Mrs. Segal for the tour and stories!
FIRE FIGHTERS VISITED FUMNS
Stamford Fire Fighters came to FUMNS Oct. 24th and taught the children about fire safety. They even had a chance to climb onto the fire truck! Thanks so much to our fabulous firemen!
This fall we are so thrilled with the new additions to our playground! Thank you to Mrs. Pascarella's husband Bob for building us a marvelous mud kitchen. Funding for the materials was provided by the Mallet and Suh families from their corporate donation matching programs - thank you! The children are busy cooking and creating meaningful connections.
Thank you to our generous parents for raising funds so our school could purchase these fabulous blue blocks! Every day the children are working collaboratively to create structures.
